About me and the Journey

Welcome to Dust and Dynasty.

Hi! My name is Nasir Naqvi, I am history hanker  and I am the person behind this screen.

While most people look at a map and see borders, I look at it and see stories waiting to be told.

Why I Started This Blog
We live in a world filled with modern skyscrapers and fast technology, but I have always been fascinated by what came before us. I started Dust and Dynasty because I wanted to understand the world—not just as it is today, but how it used to be.

I believe that every crumbling wall, every ancient temple, and every preserved building has a voice. They tell us about the people who lived, loved, fought, and built civilizations long before we arrived.

The Meaning of "Dust and Dynasty"
To me, history is a balance between two things:

  • The Dust: The passage of time. It is the ruins, the sand, and the quiet reminders that nothing lasts forever.
  • The Dynasty: The human spirit. It is the kings, queens, architects, and dreamers who built things meant to last for eternity.

This blog is where those two worlds meet.

My Mission
My goal is simple but ambitious: to virtually travel to every continent and document the World Heritage Sites that make our planet unique. Whether it is a famous landmark everyone knows or a hidden gem buried deep in a jungle, I want to shine a light on it.

I might just be a history student with a laptop right now, but I invite you to join me on this journey. Let’s blow the dust off the history books and explore the legacies left behind.

Thank you for being here.
